Physiotherapist

Hi, I’m Becca! I’ve worked in a wide variety of settings as a physiotherapist, with most of my experience in neurological rehabilitation. In addition to my experience at ARBI, I have also worked with other programs along the stroke and brain injury rehabilitation pathway in Calgary, including the AHS stroke and brain injury Early Supported Discharge team, and the Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre neuro rehab unit.

I received a Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree from the University of Alberta, where I completed several times the required hours in neurological rehabilitation clinical placements. I was also awarded a scholarship for my performance in the program’s neurological courses. Treating clients with neurological conditions has been my goal from day one of deciding to be a physiotherapist, and I absolutely love helping clients living with stroke and brain injury improve their function and work toward their goals.

I have also completed several post-graduate professional development courses and workshops to expand my expertise. These include: dry needling/IMS, functional electrical stimulation (FES), neurodevelopment treatment (NDT) courses, LSVT BIG certification, advanced wheelchair skills training, motivational interviewing, supported communication for adults with aphasia, and FAME (Fitness and Mobility Exercise) instructor certification.

If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading. But that’s more than enough about me! I’m very much looking forward to meeting you and helping you reach your goals.
